Heaston, 79, formerly of St. Paris, passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, in McAuley Center, Urbana. He was bom on Sept. 20, 1924 in St. Paris, the son of the late Pearl and Nellie (Neese) Heaston. Mr. Heaston was engaged in farming most of his life and had been formerly employed by Saint Paris Oil Company, St. Paris, and Kaffenbarger Welding Company, New Carlisle. He was a former member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge, St. Paris. On July 31, 1943, Ralph married the former Eleanor McCulla. She survives along with a son, Larry (Mary) Heaston of Saint Paris; two daughters, Mary Diane (Roger) Littlejohn of New Carlisle and Sharon (Steve) Wert of Bend, Ore.; eight grandchildren, Matthew Heaston of St. Paris, Jennifer (Nathan) Wilcoxon of West Liberty, Lynn (Jeff) Cyrof Antioch, III, Carrie Beth Littlejohn of Cleveland, Vince Littlejohn of Layton, Utali, Sarah (Geoff) Cohen of New Haven, Conn., Tim Wert of San Francisco, Calif., and Molly (Jerry) Williams of Bend. Ore., two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Wilcoxon of West Liberty and Benie Rochelle Cohen of New Haven, Conn.; one sister, Thelma (Eugene) Parrott of Troy; one nice and one nephew. In additon to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by a grandson, Curtis Littlejohn. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30 in Spring Grove Cemetery, North Heck Hill Road, St. Paris with the Rev. Nancy Hardin, chaplain of the McAuley Center, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Ralph's name to the Alzheimer's Association, Clark-Champaign-Logan Chapter, 2634 Lexington Ave., Springfield, OH 45505.
