Washington HECK, father of Prof. C. J. HECK of this place died at his late 
residence near Millerstown Saturday morning. He had been in ill health for 
some time and his death was not unexpected. The death was due to a 
complication of diseases incident with old age. Mr. HECK was 70 years old. He 
has been a resident of near St. Paris for many years and a regarded pioneer in 
that part of the country.
