Jack was born on March 25, 1928, in Coles Park, Ohio, the son of the late Charles William and Turza (Dement) Hill. He married Juanita Rucker on July 29, 1951 and she survives. He is also survived by four children: Charles (Barbara) Hill of Bradenton, Fla, Vickie Hill and Jacqueline Moore both of St. Paris, and Amy (Wade) Wilcoxon of Rosewood. He was a loving grandfather to eleven grandchildren: Mindy Lou Hill, Wendy Sue (Jason) Loney, Shane, Joshua, Samantha, and Dual Moore, Sheldon and Jade Spitler, and Jessica, Raymon, and Jack Wilcoxon; 4 step grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters also survive Jack: Carl Hill of Okeechobee, Fla, Tom (Peggy) Hill of Versailles, Mary (Max) Brazzle and Barbara (Bill) Boisle both of Springfield. His parents, a grandson, Derick Hill, and two sisters, Eileen Snyder and Geraldine Kirkland preceded Jack in death. Jack served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of Keith Cretors Post #148 American Legion in Saint Paris. Jack was also a Mason and a member of the St. Paris K of P Lodge. He served on the St. Paris Fire Dept. for over 20 years. Jack was the owner of Hills Plumbing and Jacks Pumps. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M in Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with military honors. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 5:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M in the funeral home with K of P Lodge services at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the St. Paris K of P Lodge, P. O. Box 602, St. Paris, Ohio 43072, or to the Johnson-St. Paris Firemens Association, P. O.
