HILTIBRAN, James M. "Jim" 74 formerly of Urbana, passed away, Sunday, March 
01, 2009 in the Springfield Regional High St. Campus. He was born December 7, 
1934 in Urbana the son of Virginia (Radford) & Joseph Hiltibran. He was a 1952 
graduate of Urbana High School. Jim retired from International Harvester after 
32 years of service. Jim loved the outdoors, he was avid fisherman, hunter and 
enjoyed teaching others his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed boating, feeding 
wildlife and cooking; he loved to eat. Jim was proud of his 22 years of 
sobriety with the help of AA. Most of all Jim loved to spend time with his 
family and grandchildren. Jim is survived by his children, Angel (Dick) Dunham 
of DeGraff and Jimmy (Missy) Hiltibran of Urbana, his grandchildren, Chris 
Hiltibran of Mobile, Alabama, Betsy Dunham of DeGraff, J.T. Hiltibran of 
Urbana & Seth Hiltibran of Urbana; several nieces & nephews and a host of 
friends including special friends, Betty Hartman and Chris Deel. He is 
preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth "Liz", 2 
brothers and 2 sisters. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-
4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME Urbana, 
OH. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral 
home. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery Urbana.
