Sunday following one week of illness. He was born in Darke Co May 16, 1877 the son of Nicholas and Mary (BUCKLES) HOBERTY , and had resided in Clark and Champaign counties all his life. He was a retired farmer, but was well known in this area as a trainer, breeder and seller of harness horses, throughout the country. His wife Clara preceded him in death in 1951. Mr Hoberty is survived by one son, Clement L, of Springfield; three brothers, John of New Carlisle and Joseph and Lee of Springfield; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. His body was taken to the Jackson-Lyle and Coffman funeral home where friends may call from 7 P.M. Tuesday until time of services at 1 P.M. Thursday by the Rev Jesse Hopper of Wilmington.
