He was born in Houston, Texas on November 17, 1921. He served in World War II while in the Navy and retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He also retired from Navistar. He was the Pastor of the Home of Prayer Church and attended Christ Chapel of Springfield. His passion was his relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, whom he served to the fullest. He also had a deep love for his family and to all those around him, for he never knew a stranger. He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Shaffer, Suzanne Lough, Faye Marsh; sons, Joe and David Jaques all of Springfield; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Violet Jaques and his wife of 38 years, Nancy. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Gregory Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Terre Haute Cemetery.
