"Bill" Jenkins, 79, of 3545 Heck Road, Saint Paris, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004 in his residence. He was born June 14,1924 in Piqua, the son of the late Worden and Lucille (Beaty) Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins was a 1942 graduate of Christianburg-Jackson High School, Saint Paris and was engaged in farming for most of his life. Bill was a member of the Grafton United Methodist Church and the Champaign County Farm Bureau. He had formerly been employed by Printz-Allen Coal Company and Saint Paris Oil Company, both of Saint Paris. On Feb. 7,1948, Bill married the former Miriam M. Stevens. She survives along with two daughters, Sandra S. (David) Youtz of Rosewood and Linda D. (Kim) Calland of Piqua; one son, Steven L. (Karia) Jenkins of Saint Paris; two granddaughters, Jennifer L. (Stephen) Boysen of Ontario, Canada, and Bethany A. Calland of Lansing, Mich.; four grandsons, Bryan L. (Yuriko) Clark of Cambridge, England, Brett M. (Sally) Calland of Wanatah, Ind., Aaron K. Jenkins and Carter S. Jenkins, both of Saint Paris; one great-granddaughter, Amelia Clark of Cambridge, England; three brothers, Richard (Delores) Jenkins, James (Carolyn) Jenkins and Robert (Elsa) Jenkins, all of Saint Paris; two sisters, Martha (Sylvan) Pence and Marie (Arthur) Bovey, both of Saint Paris; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004 in the Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., Saint Paris, with Rev. Edward Groff of St. Marys officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Saint Paris. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2004 in the funeral home. Donations may be made in Bill's memory to either Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373 or Christianburg Fire Department, P.O. Box 300 Christianburg, Ohio 45389. Pallbearers will be Brett M. Calland, Aaron K. Jenkins, Carter S. Jenkins, Stephen Boysen, Rob Lillicrap and David Jenkins. Honorary pallbearer is Bryan L.
