He was born on July 26, 1917 in Springfield, the son of the late Benjamin Harrison and Eva (Baker) Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister. Charles served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. He was a machinist for Pro-Mac in Enon, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Anthony Lodge #455 Free and Accepted Masons in Springfield were he was their 100th Past Master, and a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton.
