JONES, Rachel Elizabeth McDonald age 97, went home to be with our Lord at 
Heartland of Springfield at 7:35 p.m., February 22, 2006. Rachel was born July 
22, 1908 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late John S. and Anna 
Price McDonald, and lived in Champaign County, Ohio, before her marriage to C. 
Robert Jones, an electrical contractor in Springfield. Rachel worked as a 
seamstress at the J.C. Penney Store before her retirement at the age of 65. 
She was a real worker for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and a devoted 
member since 1937 of Trinity Lutheran Church. Rachel is survived by her two 
loving daughters and sons-in-law, Graceanna (Jay) Yetter of Springfield, and 
Pamela (Harry) Fox of East Liverpool, Ohio, five grandchildren, ten great-
grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great 
grandchild. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, C. Robert Jones, 
and two brothers, Frank and Ralph McDonald. Rachel is a dearly loved child of 
God and will be greatly missed for her deep caring ways and great love for 
all. A gathering of family and friends will be held at JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS 
FUNERAL HOME, North Limestone Street, on Friday, February 24, 2006, from 6-8 
pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2006, at 11 a.m. 
in the Trinity Lutheran Church, with one hour of visitation prior. Son-in-law, 
Pastor Harry Fox and Grandson-in-law, Pastor Robert Heiliger will officiate. 
Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery
