Mrs. Opal Journell, 76, passed away Dec. 2nd in her home after an illness of 
three yeas.  A lifelong resident of Champaign County, she was born Mar. 23, 
1898, in Spring Hills, the daughter of Frank and Mat Turrell Hill.  She was the 
wife of Elmer Anderson Journell of West Liberty.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Spring Hills and the D
Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
Mrs. Journell is survived by a sister, Ruth Sharpin, Spring Hills.  Another si
sister preceded her in death.
Services will be held Friday, Dec. 6 at 1:30 pm at Baker Funeral Home in St. P
Paris.
The Rev. Wayne Yost, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Spring Hills, 
will officiate.  Burial will be made in Spring Grove Cemetery
