Ruby J. (Hathcock) Kiser, 97, of Urbana, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 
2009 in the Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana.

She was born November 1, 1912 in Alvarado, Texas.

Ruby was the manager of the Diana Shop in Urbana for many years. After the 
store closed she continued to work in women's apparel in the surrounding 
areas. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Urbana.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Linda (Munsell) Schafer of Urbana, as well 
as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edna (Thompson) Hathcock, 
her husband, whom she married, June 22, 1946, William 'Bill' Kiser, her 
sister, Nellie Massey, and her brothers, Clyde, Brownie, Arvel and Roy.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 - 7pm on Thursday, 
November 12, 2009 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 13, 2009 in the 
funeral home with the Rev. Dr. George Riddell officiating. Burial will follow 
in OakDale Cemetery Urbana.
