George E. Kleiber, 79, of Marysville died Saturday evening, December 31, at 
Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. 

He was a retiree of Eljer Plumbingware of Marysville after 22 years of service.

He was a 1951 graduate of Marysville High School and a longtime member of the 
Marysville First United Methodist Church. In his retirement years, he 
continued working locally in maintenance at the Citizens Federal Savings and 
Loan (Equitable Savings and Loan), and M & M Banking (Huntington National 
Bank) finally retiring in 1994.

George was an avid OSU Buckeye fan, a Browns fan, and he especially enjoyed 
following the Triad High School football team. He also enjoyed socializing 
with all of his "longtime coffee drinking friends" which included John Printz, 
Bill Troesch, and Jack Sewell. His favorite pastime was following and spending 
time with his grandkids in all of their activities.

He was born February 1, 1932 in Marysville to the late Emanuel and Esther 
Schlegel Kleiber. He married the former Pauline E. Mummey August 9, 1952 in 
Liberty, IN. She preceded him in death July 11, 2000.

George is survived by his children, Michael E. (Cindy Burnside) Kleiber of 
Urbana, Shelley Gonzales of Marysville; grandchildren, Tracy (Matt) Harper, 
Lisa Kleiber, and Ashley & Aaron Gonzales; great grandchildren, Mason and 
Logan Harper.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral 
Home of Marysville, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday 
with the Rev. Aaron Brown officiating. 

Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery next to his wife
