She was born May 13, 1925, in Columbus, a daughter of the late Curtis and Stella Bolin Moody. A 1943 North Lewisburg High School graduate, she married Marvin E. Lantz on Dec. 27, 1943, and he survives along with daughters, Sharon (Sonny) Shirk of St. Paris and Dawn Schlickman of Christiansburg; sons, Gary (Patti) Lantz of Urbana and Ronald (Debbie) Lantz of Mechanicsburg; 13 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Charles Eastman, and brothers, Curtis and Robert. She and her husband spent the beginning of their lives farming and then started Lantz Sales Co. implement business, which she served as secretary, treasurer and co-owner for 22 years. She started the thrift and gift shop in Urbana which benefited Lawnview School and oversaw the volunteers for many years. A former member of the Kingscreek United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, she served 12 years as a lay person for the Methodist conference. She also was a life member of the Soroptimist Club. Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Vernon Funeral Home, Urbana. The Rev. Dr. Peter Bellini conducts a funeral at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Westville United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Burial is in Oakdale Cemetery.
