Funeral Home
LANTZ, Helen L. age 86, formerly of Urbana went home to be with the Lord at 
6:45 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010 in the Koester Pavilion, Troy. Helen 
was born on February 19, 1924 in Rosewood, Ohio a daughter of the late Luther 
and Ethel (Houser) Tippett. She married Floyd Wendell Lantz on October 24, 
1943 and he preceded her in death on February 22, 1994. Together, Helen and 
Floyd raised a son Kevin (Kathy) Lantz of Troy. She was a proud grandmother to 
two grandchildren: David and Rebecca Lantz both of Troy. She is also survived 
by two nephews, Marc and Curt Brown of Tucson, Arizona. In addition to her 
parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Tippett 
and a sister, Carroll Brown. Helen was a former member of The First Baptist 
Church of Urbana where she served as financial secretary for many years. 
Currently she was a member of Myrtle Tree Baptist Church, St. Paris. Helen 
attended St. Paris Schools. She was employed by the St. Paris Phone Company 
and during World War II she worked for Hobart Manufacturing in Troy. Helen 
will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her quick wit and 
sense of humor. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon in 
Myrtle Tree Baptist Church 7020 U.S Highway 36, Saint Paris with Reverend 
Clifford Kissinger presiding. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery,
