Lauderback, 92, of Urbana and formely of Saint Paris and Fletcher, passed away on Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 at 11:10 a.m. in Community Hearth and Home in Urbana. She was born in Champaign County, Ohio, on Oct. 7, 1911, the daughter of the late Wallace and Stella (Chambers) Mahan. Ruth was a 1929 graduate of Saint Paris High School, and retired in 1976 from Midland Ross- Grimes in Urbana. She was a former member of Diamond Chapter #84 Order of Eastern Star, Saint Paris. Survivors include four grandchildren, Tony (Barbara) Bailes of Urbana; Kelly (Monica) Bailes of Knoxville, Tenn., Michael Todd (Tana) Bailes of San Diego, Calif, and Kimberly (Roger) Jenkins of Saint Paris; nine great-grandchildren, Lance Benavides, Cody, Brittani and Michael Jenkins, all of Saint Paris, Brennan and Brandon Bailes, both of San Diego, Calif., Madison Bailes of Urbana and Paige Briggs and MacKenzie Bailes, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister Wilma (Robert) Allebach of Hollywood, Fla.; a brother, Herbert Mahan of Saint Paris and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruth was was preced in death by a son Richard Bailes; a sister, Amy Hamilton; and two brothers, Keith and Ralph Mahan. There will be a visitation for family and friends on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., Saint Paris.
