She was born Sept. 6, 1935, in Tipp City, to Curtis and Edna (Ledwidge) Massie. Phyllis grew up in Christiansburg, Ohio. She was married to Morris Leffel in 1954. They were happily married for 44 years. Survivors include one son, Rick Leffel and wife Mary of Panhandle, Texas; granddaughter, Elizabeth Leffel of Amarillo, Texas; and one great-grandchild. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Wanda; and brother, Ralph. She graduated from Christiansburg Jackson High School in 1953. She spent most of her life as a homemaker in Christiansburg and Troy taking care of her family and working at A.O. Smith and Dolly Toy. She was a former member of the AMVETS, Eagles and Redmens. She enjoyed playing bingo and Euchre. Mrs. Leffel was a member of the First United Methodist Panhandle, Texas.
