She was born February 16, 1927 in Jeffersonville, Ohio, the daughter of Archie L. and Hazel (Burba) Smith. Pearl was a Secretary for the Department of Defense of Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force and spent a number of years working for the Air Force in Germany. She enjoyed cooking and gardening but most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Guido Goetzinger; daughter, April A. LeValley of Springfield; sons, Stephen E. (Yvonne Arno) LeValley of Brasher Falls, New York, Doug (Kathleen) LeValley of Springfield, Jan A. (Pam) LeValley of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Loren E. (Dottie) Smith of Brooksville, Florida; sister-in-laws, Donna Smith of Beavercreek, Bernadette Smith Feix of Bischolsheim, Germany, Inge Osbild of Puttlingen, Germany. She is preceded in death by 1st husband, Franklin E. LeValley; brothers, Harold D. Smith, A. Richard Smith. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2008 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 17, 2008 in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Urbana.
