LOCKWOOD Johnny Ray age 37, of Urbana unexpectedly passed away in his home 
Saturday, March 21, 2009. He was born November 24, 1971 in Bellefontaine, 
Ohio, the son of John and Clara (Brown) Lockwood. Johnny was employed by Honda 
ELP in East Liberty. He graduated in 1990 from Urbana High School. On August 
1, 1997 he was joined in marriage to Sandra (Erwin) Gingrey, of Urbana. Johnny 
enjoyed camping, coin collecting, hunting, Nascar, mushroom hunting, riding 
motorcycles and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is 
survived by his parents; children, Paige Gingrey, age 14 and Kullen Lockwood, 
age 10; sister, Penny (Chuck) Wyant and their children, Levi and Lindsey; 
brother, Sam (Cindy) Lockwood and their son, Jake; paternal grandmother, 
Dorothy (Shafer) Lockwood- Black; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald Sr. 
and Barbara Erwin; brother- in-law, Donald Erwin Jr., and his children, 
Sierra, Hannah, Ivee, Brian, and Austin; uncle, Dan Lockwood; aunts, Rose 
Heberline, Shirley Penhorwood, Judy Carney and several cousins. He was 
preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harry Edwin Lockwood; maternal 
grandmother, Dorothy Steele; aunts, Jeannine Traylor, and Marsha Arnold. A 
gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 
25, 2009 in VERNON FUNERAL HOME Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 
a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Engle officiating. Burial 
will follow in Oakdale Cemetery Urbana.
