obit-The Urbana Daily Citizen 2-Feb-2006 pg A-2 Patricia A. Long, 70, of Piqua, p
passed away at 6:10 p.m. Monday Jan. 30, 2006, in Johnson City Medical Center i
in Tennessee.
She was born Oct. 11, 1935, in Champaign County, to the late Charles and Mary 
(Gaver) Fairchild. She married Robert Kress Long on June 22, 1955; and he p
preceded her in death on April 13, 2004.
She is survived by a son, Robert K. and Linda Long of St. Paris; a daughter, 
Debra and Robert Uncapher of Johnson City, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Paul Long 
of Troy, Robbie and Brandon Long of St. Paris and Elizabeth Uncapher of Johnson C
City, Tenn.; and four siblings, David and Diane Fairchild, Linda and John C
Clark, John and Peggy Fairchild and Steve and Deb Fairchild, all of West L
Liberty.
She graduated from West Liberty High School in 1953. She was the former 
personnel director at Stouder Hospital and retired in 1 993 as the director of v
volunteers. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Piqua.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Atkins-Shively Funeral 
Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, with the Rev. Jack Chalk officiating. 
Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will 
be from 4-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
