Piqua Daily Call
Patricia A. Long, 70, of Piqua, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Monday Jan. 30, 2006, 
in Johnson City Medical Center
in Tennessee.
She was born Oct. 11, 1935, in Champaign County, to the late Charles and Mary 
(Gaver) Fairchild. She married Robert Kress Long on June 22, 1955; and he 
preceded her in death on April 13, 2004.
She is survived by a son, Robert K. and Linda Long of St. Paris; a daughter, 
Debra and Robert Uncapher of Johnson City, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Paul 
Long of Troy, Robbie and Brandon Long of St. Paris and Elizabeth Uncapher of 
Johnson City, Tenn.; and four siblings, David and Diane Fairchild, Linda and 
John Clark, John and Peggy Fairchild and Steve and Deb Fairchild, all of West 
Liberty.
She graduated from West Liberty High School in 1953. She was the former 
personnel director at Stouder Hospital and retired in 1 993 as the director of 
volunteers. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Piqua.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Atkins-Shively 
Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, with the Rev. Jack Chalk 
officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation for family 
and friends will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
