He had been in failing health two years. Mr. Long was a farmer and a member of the Rosewood United Methodist church. He was born Nov 12, 1898 in Johnson Township, a son of William and Alice Schanely Long. He graduated from Rosewood High School. Survivors include his wife Zoe;two daughters Mrs. Charles(Marion) Moore, DeGraff, Mrs. Harry(alice) whitehead, Columbus, a son John D, Milan Ill, one brother Emerson, St. Paris, two sisters, Mrs. Frank(Virgie)Speece,Urbana and Miss Mabel Long of St. Paris Services will be held at 2pm Tuesday in the Baker Funeral Home here by the Rev Sherwood Barnett of Rosewood United Methodist church.
