LUSE, D. Junior 93, of Urbana passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2008 in 
Mercy McAuley Center Urbana, Ohio, where he resided for the past 2 ½ years. He 
was born February 5, 1915 in Clark County, Ohio the son of E. Douglas and 
Nellie (Brewer) Luse. Junior retired from farming at the age of 90, and was 
also a member of the Westville School Board, Champaign County Fairboard, and 
various agricultural stabilization committees. He enjoyed animals, especially 
horses and the Champaign County Fair. He loved life, being with people, and he 
had fun in his everyday living. Junior is survived by his two sons, Eddie 
(Joyce) of St. Paris, OH and Don Luse of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Molly 
(Joe) Serge of Mason, OH, Van (Cathy) Luse of Gainesville, TX, Allison (Coble) 
Griffith of East Point, FL, and Adam Luse of Bloomington, IN; great 
granddaughter, Lauren Serge; sister Nancy Wasner; and nieces Sandy Wasner and 
Bonnie (Ed) Chatfield. He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife 
of 61 years, Ione (Eckman) Luse, and brother-in-law Carl Wasner. The family 
wishes to thank the most loving "nursing" family of the McAuley Center as well 
as the Hospice staff, Sandy Maynard and the Rev. Dr. Peter Bellini. A 
gathering for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, 
August 27, 2008 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be 
held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2008 in the Westville United 
Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Peter Bellini officiating. Burial will follow 
in the Terre Haute Cemetery.
