Drucilla Florine Manuel, 64, of Urbana, went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 
5, 2013, in the Ohio State Medical Center.

She was born August 9, 1948, in Springfield, the daughter of James W. “Jinx” 
and Florine “Flo” Elizabeth (Davis) Manuel.

Drucilla was a South High School graduate. She attended Adult Day Services at 
CRSI where she was quite an accomplished artist. 

In 2010 Dru had the honor of her self-portrait exhibited at The Smithsonian 
American Art Museum National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. sponsored by 
ANCOR. She attended Mike Major’s Art Studio where an art show included several 
of her art projects on display with the art work of her peers.

She is survived by her son, Jerome Manuel of Urbana; her brothers, Martin, 
Harry, Greg, Sherman, Tony, Michael, Chris, Paul and Sean Manuel, her sisters, 
Nancy Hicks, Frances Manuel, Sheena Baker, Michele Adams, Theresa Jackson and 
Cecelia Carter, as well as hundreds of nieces and nephews of several 
generations.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Carlotta, and a brother, 
Charles Edward.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 
12, 2013, in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. A Celebration of Life service 
will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013, in the River of Life 
Christian Center, 775 Washington Ave., Urbana, Ohio, with Bishop Larry Davis, 
Pastor Dan Leiker and Rev. Bruce Wynn officiating. Burial will follow in Oak 
Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
