Deborah Kay (Niece) Massengale, 47, of Troy, passed away from breast cancer, 
Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, in Sycamore Hospital, Dayton.
She was born Dec. 21, 1965, in Springfield, Ohio, and graduated from Graham 
High School.
Deb enjoyed collecting Betty Boops, attending garage sales, setting up at flea 
markets, planting flowers. She loved the outdoors especially, fishing. She had 
a kind heart and loved taking care of others.
She is survived by her mother, Amy (Brian) Mooney of Beavercreek and father, 
Wendell (Jackie) Niece of Springfield; daughter, Alisha (Dustin) Fowler of 
Urbana; her sons, Derrick Farmer and Shelden Lucas both of Troy; a grandson, 
Weston Farmer; her brothers, Fred (Dee-Etta) Niece, Eric (Belinda) Niece and 
Kyle (Mercedes) Niece; step-sisters, Renee Fabbiani, brother-in-law, Johnny 
Massengale; sisters-in-laws, Kimberly, Laura and Michelle Massengale; numerous 
nieces and nephews and a special friend, Terry E. Lucas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Massengale; grandmother, 
Margaret Hopkins; and mother and father-in-law, Mildred Chapman and Ronald 
Massengale.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, in the 
VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana with Pastor Dan Leiker officiating. The family will 
receive friends from 11-1 prior. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery, Urbana
