Massie, 75, of St. Paris, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, in Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was bom Aug. 2,1928, in North Hampton (Clark County), the daughter of the late William and Grace (Jenkins) Bishop. Mrs. Massie was a 1946 graduate of North Hampton High School and a member of the First Baptist Church, St. Paris. On May 12, 1950, she married Raymond W. Massie, who passed away May 2, 2003. In addition to her parents and husband, Margery was preceded in death by four brothers, Marvin, Willard, Homer and Donald Bishop; and two sisters, Helen Beaty and Esther Bishop. Survivors include three sons, Daniel (Jeanie) Massie of Urbana, Jeff (Nancy) Massie of St. Paris and Larry (Sue) Massie of North Hampton; nine grandchildren, Damon (Carrie) Massie of Urbana, Shawn, Erin and Justin Massie, all of St. Paris, Candy (Arthur) Shellabarger, Katie and Stacy Massie, all of Springfield, and Matt and Nathan Massie of North Hampton; four great- grandchildren, Allison Massie of St. Paris, Ben and Noah Shellabarger and Sam Massie, all of Springfield; two brothers, Richard (Helen Ann) Bishop of Saint Paris and Eldon (Wanda) Bishop of North Hampton; one sister, Mary Hanselman of St. Paris; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, in the Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, with the Rev. Clifford Kissinger officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Margery's name to the donor's favorite charity.
