The Urbana Daily Citizen abstract
Margaret E. McClain, age 89, of Troy and formerly of Christiansburg passed 
away at 10:32 a.m. on January 27, 2008 in Koester Pavilion.

She was born on March 7, 1918 in Baden, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late 
Lewis H. and Maude (Stoffel) Hannigan. She married James R. McClain on 
November 18, 1947 and he preceded her on December 30, 2002.

In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, Robert Hannigan preceded 
her in death.

Margaret was a 1935 graduate of Rochester High School in Rochester, PA. She 
was also a 1939 graduate of Sewickley Hospital School of Nursing, Sewickley, 
PA. She retired in 1982 from Dettmer Hospital, Troy. She was a member of the 
Church of Christ in Christian Union, Christiansburg, and a member of Mt. 
Olivet Chapter #266 Order of Eastern Star, Christiansburg.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 
p.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint 
Paris, Ohio. Eastern Star services will be held at 6:00 p.m. and the funeral 
service will follow at approximately 6:15 p.m. with Pastor Carl Ogden of the 
Church of Christ in Christian Union presiding. Burial will be at the 
convenience of the family in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery, Christiansburg
