A secretary and accountant, she was a former associate of Wright Patterson Air Force Base, O.M. Scott and Sons and Farmers Home Administration. She was a longtime member of First English Lutheran Church in Marysville where she sang in the choir and participated in Adult Fellowship and Lutheran Church Women. A talented cook and seamstress, she was a former 4-H advisor and a member of the Union County Homemakers Association. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing the piano and traveling with her husband in their Airstream. She was a former volunteer in the dietary department at Memorial Hospital of Union County. She was born March 6,1931 in Maynard, Arkansas to the late John McNary and Mary Martha Allison Roberts and was also predeceased in 1993 by her husband, George Leroy McClimans; and her brother, Clifford Roberts. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Ann McClimans (Steve) Hupp of Dublin; her son, Marvin "Gene" (Karen) McClimans of Virginia Beach, Virginia; four grandchildren, James McClimans, Misty (Rob) Brooks, Lindsay Hupp and Eric Hupp; two great-granddaughters, Scarlett and Aubrey Brooks; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First English Lutheran, 687 London Ave., Marysville. Rev. Paul Schultz will officiate and burial will be beside her husband at St. Paris Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Underwood Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or to the Central Ohio Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
