McGEE, Helen L. (Gearhart) 87, of Springfield, died Saturday afternoon, 
January 29, 2005 in Heartland of Springfield. She was born in Springfield on 
January 1, 1918 the daughter of the late George E. and Edna V. (Gabriel) 
Gearhart. Survivors include six children and their spouses, Jim McGee, Vicki 
and Ron Bayliss, Jerry and Nancy McGee, Bill and Jackie McGee, Kathy Thompson, 
and Jeff McGee, all of Springfield; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great 
grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Gearhart of Springfield; and numerous 
nieces and nephews. Preceding Helen in death were her husband, Eldon "Art" 
McGee in 1993; a daughter, Sandra Pierce Wilson in 1999; one sister, Phyllis 
Armer; two brothers, Emery and Clinton Gearhart; and a daughter-in-law, 
Phyllis McGee in 2004. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9-
11 a.m. Wednesday in the Litttleton & Rue Funeral Home, Springfield. Funeral 
services will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Reverend 
Gene Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Terre Haute Cemetery.
