She was born Blanche Bowling in Ashland, Ky., on March 12, 1930, a daughter of the late Robert and Lilly Bowling. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McNeely; two sisters, Ethel Wolfe and Mary Magdalene Ropp; and five brothers. Elgan Bowling, Olgust Bowling, Hargis Bowling, Robert Junior Bowling and Ray Bowling. She is survived by a daughter, Jeannine (Don) Denson of Atlanta; three stepdaughters, Sherry (Jim) Ball of West Chester, Vickie (Jim) Baber of Hilliard and Connie McNeely of Urbana; and a stepson, Bill (Tana) Spellman of Urbana. She also leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Florence Helterbran of Springfield and Delores Patton of Middletown; two brothers, Max (Bessie) Bowling of Ashland, Ky. and Coby (Laverne) Bowling of Olive Hill, Ky.; four grandsons, Chad, Todd and Zach Denson, all of Atlanta, and Alex Ball of West Chester; granddaughters, Jane Baird of Columbus, Kelly Adkins of West Chester, Kim McMenama of Cincinnati and Kimberly, Rebecca and Brian Habian, all of Ohio; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored! Dareline Adams, Blanche’s in-home caretaker for the past three years, had become a blessed part of her life. Dareline will remain a treasured member of the Denson family forever. Mrs. McNeely will be remembered for her warm and kind spirit, her love of family, and her unselfish willingness to always help others whenever there was a need. She always had a great sense of humor and where she was, you would find laughter. She will be greatly missed by her family, but we rejoice that she no longer suffers and is in such a better place.
