MILLER, Ralph Gene 81, of Terra Haute, passed away Friday, January 22, 2010 at 
Springfield Manor in Springfield, Ohio. He was born August 19, 1928 in Greenup 
County, Kentucky, the son of Estil B. and Agatha (Crowder) Miller. Ralph 
served his county in the United States Navy from 1945 1949. He reenlisted in 
1951 in the United States Air force and retired after 16 years in 1967. Ralph 
served in 3 wars, WWII, Korean and Vietnam. He also worked for 19 years for 
Pitney Bowes and finally retiring in 1987. Ralph was member of the Grace 
United Methodist Church, Springfield. He belonged to the Air Force 
Association, Christian Motorcycle Association, Gold Wing Road Riders and the 
Retreads. Ralphs biggest passion and hobby was his motorcycle. He is survived 
by his wife, Rosamary (Biles), who he wed on Aug. 20, 1949; four children, 
Michael (Phyllis) Miller of Troy, Ohio, Shirley Ann Glover at home, Estil 
(Sue) Miller of Urbana, Ohio and Leo (Dawn) Miller of Lebanon, Ohio; 6 
grandchildren, Heidi (Richard), Heather (Eric), Julie (Matt), Elizabeth, 
Kristy (David) and Brooks (Susann); 10 great grandchildren, Corrie, Nicole, 
Tyler, EJ, Lee, Shylow, Maya, Leah, Cassidy and Cooper; many nieces, nephews 
and friends; as well as two previous daughter-in-laws, Sarah and Nancy the 
mothers of his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, 
Janet, Rosemary, brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Jo, son-in-law, Dwight 
Glover and a great grandson, Elijah. Special thanks to the entire Staff of the 
Springfield Manor for the Care and Comfort provided to Ralph and our family 
for the last 2 years. You are all awesome and we couldnt have asked for better 
care. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 
2010 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana with Pastor Mark Weatherman 
officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. 
Burial will follow in the Terre Haute Cemetery.
