Lou was born Sept. 7,1931, in Spring Creek W.Va., a daughter of the late Herbert and Isabella (Sydensticker) Foster. She married Paul Miller, and they enjoyed 59 years together until his death on May 21, 2010. Lou is survived by two daughters, Mrs. (Denny) Debbie DeWeese of Troy and Mrs. (Michael) Diana Wallen of St. Paris; two sons, Paul Steven Miller Jr. of St. Paris and Jeffrey Miller of Piqua. She also survived by seven grandchildren, Daisy DeWeese Gatt of North Carolina, Deanna DeWeese English of North Carolina, Sarah Miller of Piqua, Savannah and Michael Wallen of St. Paris, Alicia Marston of Alaska and Ariel Oxenford of Wyoming; three great- grandchildren, Ethan Gatt, Billy Oxenford and Peyton Talbot. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and her husband, a son, Ervin L. Miller; and a sister, Jenny Brenner, preceded her in death. Lou was a graduate of Frankford High School in Frankford, W.Va. She was a former member of Diamond Chapter Order of Eastern Star, St. Paris, and currently a member of Urbana Chapter No. 530. Lou and her husband Paul owned and operated the P & L Market in St. Paris for many years. They also raised and sold pumpkins. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, St. Paris. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
