Robert Earl Moody Sr., 75, of Urbana, earned his wings to be with the Lord on 
Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, in The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born in Urbana on Feb. 20, 1936, a son of Edgar and Carrie Eubanks 
Moody. He also was preceded in death by siblings, David Moody, Marion Moody 
and Marilyn Wilson; great-grandson, Jordan Lee Robbins; and great-
granddaughter, Mariah Allen.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Joyce Crabtree Moody; daughters, Joyce 
(Darrell) Daniels of Urbana, Kathy Moody of Mansfield and Peggy (James) 
Robbins, special friend David Fields of Urbana; son, Robert (Melissa) Moody of 
Westville; 16 grandchildren, he helped to raise grandchildren Melissa, 
Jessica, Kelly, Lorrene and Brittany; 30 great-grandchildren; and brothers, 
Harold, Jack and Johnathan Moody, all of Urbana and Mark Moody of North 
Lewisburg.
Robert was a member of Wesley Chapel Church, attended Mechanicsburg High 
School, retired from Drackett and later became the owner of Riverside Camp 
Grounds in DeGraff.
He loved life and loved his family and friends. Robert was a BIG JOKER, who 
loved telling jokes.
The Rev. David Miller officiates a funeral at 1 p.m. Thursday at Walter & 
Smith Funeral Home, 642 S. Main St., Urbana, where visitation is from 2 to 4 
and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. 
Burial is in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, with pallbearers including Allen 
Daniels, Scott Daniels, Josh Daniels, James Robbins Jr., Brandon Moody and 
Jake Moody. Nick Mitchell, Josh Gilleland, Todd Rutter, Brian Yohey, Glen 
Goings and Jeremy Taynor are honorary pallbearers
