James was born in Burkettsville, Ohio on November 27, 1926 the son of Ivo and Pauline Moorman. He retired from International Harvester in 1978, a member of the Epiphany Cathedral Catholic Church in Venice, Florida and was a 1945 graduate of Catholic Central High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3737 in Springfield, Ohio, American Legion No-Vel Post 159, Venice, Florida and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3482 in Nokomis, Florida. He was a World War II United States Army veteran serving from February 2, 1945 to December 1, 1946. Jim enjoyed baseball, fishing, and playing cards with family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Regina Marie; four children and spouses, Linda and Michael Burns, Ft. Myers, Florida, Bonnie and Manford "Judo" Judy, Nokomis, Florida, Mary Kay Massia, Venice, Florida and Michael and Beth Moorman, Springfield; nine grandchildren and spouses, Michelle "Shelley" and Tim Ludden, Laura and Matt Sederquist all of Cape Coral, Florida, Heidi and Doug Short, Springfield, James "Jamie" and Carrie Moorman, Springfield, Manford "Jude" and Chandy Judy, Potomac Falls, Virginia, Ryan Judy, Springfield, Justin Judy, Ft. Collins, Colorado, Jenna Judy, Springfield and Nicole and Mike Aston, Springfield; 11 great- grandchildren, Kaylee Ludden, Brent Haskill, Emily and Jonathan Sederquist, Logan and Brandon Short, Joey and Lucian Moorman, Elly Judy and Marisa and Dominic Aston; three brothers and spouses Paul "Shorty" Moorman, Jesse "Jake" and Shirley Moorman all of Springfield and Wallace Moorman of Dayton; one sister Alice Whitacre, Springfield; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Peggy Green, Margie and Marion Tyree, Rosemary Born, all of Springfield and Patty and Robert Bishop, California and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Robert and a sister Thelma. Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME on East High Street in Springfield, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday in St. Raphael Catholic Church with Fr. Dennis Caylor officiating.
