She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on December 3, 1912 to Agnes (Buehrle) and John M. McLaughlin. She was preceded in death by William (Bill) Bernard Mott, her loving husband of almost 69 years; her parents; sister, Kathryn Merritt; brothers, John (Junior), Joseph, Richard and Edmond; daughter-in-law, Virginia (Meddles) Mott; and son-in-law, Floyd Godwin. Survivors include daughters, Barbara J. Godwin of Urbana, Joyce A McConnaughey (E. Craig) of Alamo, California; sons, William B. Mott, Jr. (Fran) of Medway, Ohio , Louis R. Mott, D.D.S. (Terrie) of Upper Arlington, Ohio and Robert L. Mott (Marge) Of Dayton, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren and 4 great -great grandchildren who often say the Marcella is a wonderful role model as wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and an inspiration to them all, brothers, Robert of Lexington, Kentucky, William (Eleanor) of Urbana; sister, Mary Ann Wallace of Urbana; sister-in-law, Mary (Mott) Nigh of Urbana and Norma McLaughlin of Marysville. Marcella attended St. Mary School in Urbana where she graduated in 1930. A member of St. Mary parish since childhood, she was active in the Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies Sodality. She and Bill enjoyed traveling and winters in Florida where they attended St. Anne' Church in Ruskin. In recent years, Marcella enjoyed outing with Urbana Senior Center and the Red Hat Society of Urbana. Visitation will be held at the WALTER- SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, 642 South Main Street in Urbana, Ohio from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12. The Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at St. Mary Church, 228 Washington Avenue in Urbana at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, with Fr. Gregory Konerman officiant.
