Littleton & Rue Funeral Home
HARRY F. NIECE JR., 77, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord after a 
lengthy illness on Sunday June 2, 2002. He was born June 9, 1924 in Urbana, 
Ohio, the son of Harry F. Sr. and Ruth (Williams) Niece. Harry served as 
General Manager of Adams County Rural Electric and retired from Pioneer 
Electric after thirty-eight years of service. Harry also served the Urbana 
Fire Department for twelve years achieving Assistant Fire Chief rank. He was a 
Kentucky Colonel, former member of Harmony Lodge #8 F&A.M., Urbana Chamber of 
Commerce, Area Builder’s Association, and Civitan. 

Survivors include; his loving wife, Grace Juanita Thatcher-Niece and a 
daughter and son-in-law; Jennifer & Stephen Smith of Springfield; two sisters-
in-law and two brothers-in-law; Martha and Roger Reedy of Urbana, Virginia and 
John Zea of Dayton, several nieces and nephews, and many very good friends. He 
was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Opal Dixie Pence and Janet 
Sheline; two brothers; Donald Niece and Robert William “Bill” Niece. 

Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, St. Paris, Ohio on 
Thursday June 6, 2002 at 1 P.M., with Pastor Bryan Wonn of the First Baptist 
Church, Urbana, officiating
