Nitchman, 47, Saint Paris, Ohio, died Friday, March 18, 1994, in his sleep at 7:30 a.m. in his residence. He was born September 30, 1946, in Champaign County, Ohio, the son of Luther and Margaret (Byers) Nitchman. He was a member of Myrtle Tree Baptist Church of Saint Paris, Ohio. He was employed by Harrison Radiator of Dayton, Ohio. He was a 1965 graduate of Graham High School of Saint Paris. He was a former member of the Johnson-Saint Paris Fire Department, and the Johnson-Saint Paris Emergency Medical Squad, a member of the Philip Grieser Memorial Post Number 7645, Veterans of Foreign Wars of Saint Paris, Ohio, a member and Past Master of Mt. Olivet Lodge Number 226 of the Free and Accepted Masons, of Christiansburg, Ohio, and a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, the former Joyce Vanscoy, whom he married on December 3, 1989; his mother, Margaret Nitchman, of Saint Paris, Ohio; one son, Glen Nitchman, of London, Ohio; one daughter, Lynn Nitchman, of West Jefferson, Ohio; one step-son, Aaron Hegele, of Miami, Florida; one step- daughter, Amber Hegele, of Springfield, Ohio; four brothers, Raymond Nitchman, of Savannah, Georgia, Herb Nitchman, of Saint Paris, Ohio, Mike Nitchman, of Thackery, Ohio, Richard Nitchman, of Saint Paris, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Louise (Tom) Armstrong, of Terre Haute, Ohio, Mrs. Betty (Ray) Barbee, of Saint Paris, Ohio, Mary Clark, of Sidney, Ohio and Mrs. Joyce (William) Heaton, of Conover, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 1994, at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. in Myrtle Tree Baptist Church, Saint Paris, Ohio, with Pastor Byron Shafer officiating. Burial in Myrtle Tree Cemetery, Saint Paris, Ohio. Graveside Military Services by Philip Grieser Memorial Post Number 7645. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, 1994 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home, Inc., St. Paris. Masonic Memorial Services to be held at 8 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.
