Ohio Bertha Lambour, nee Tubbs, daughter of late William and Christiana Tubbs, nee Clantz and wife of Victor Lambour, at Camp Ohio, passed out of this life on Janulary 11, 1943 at two o'clock a.m. suddenly and unexpectedly. Born February 14, 1884, she died at the age of 58 years, 10 months 25 days. In her youth she was baptized by the Diciples church in the City of Toledo. After coming to Camp Creek, she put her membership into the Salt Creek Christian Conference Church of Christ, and was of help until that branch in the conference disbanded. She was united in marriage to Victor Lambour at Toledo, Ohio December 1902, who was then a widower with five children, to which she bestowed as much love and motherly care as those born of the marriage by her afterwards a son; Eugene and a daughter, Goldie McCann, nee Lambour. Brother Sherman Swogger, of Duke a fellow minister to Victor Lambour in the same conference, officiated at the services, and she was laid to rest in the Harmon Christian Church Cemetery Surviving to mourn their loss are her husband; Goldie McCann, nee Lambour; Eugene Lambour; five stepchildren; 3 grand chidlren and five step grandchildren; one sister, Mary Mathews of Detroit, Mich; one brother Frank Tubbs of Toledo, Ohio The son , Eugene, is now serving our country at the Aftrican front, causing her the same worry, as all good mothers, but always said, it has to be done , as we cannot let those Brutalitarians dominate the world. So we say " AuRevoir" but not goodbye. *************************8 Following is a long poem or verse . Additional Comments: In the obit it refers to Eugene being at war. He served with General Patton in Tunesia. While there both of his parents died. He came home wounded having to learn to walk again and was given a Purple Heart.
