Charles Eugene "Bud" Parrott, 88, of Troy passed away at 7 p.m. Wednesday, 
Aug. 10, 2005, in Koester Pavilion, Troy.
He was born Dec. 1, 1916, in Union County, the son of the late Charles William 
and Irene Nora (Keller) Parrott. On Nov. 19, 1938, he married Thelma Heaston 
and they enjoyed 66 years together. Thelma survives and resides at Koester 
Pavilion. He also is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie and Linda 
Parrott of Troy; two granddaughters, Cathy Jo Yohe of New Kensington, Pa. and 
Sherri Anderson of Charleston, S.C.; two step-granddaughters, Lee Anne 
(Richard) Sloan of Troy and Lisa (Robert) Fleming of Huber Heights; three step-
great¬grandchildren; one brother, Guy (Lillian) Parrott of St. Paris; one 
sister, Clara Sue (Mark) Perrin of Seattle, Wash.; and several nieces and 
nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Brenda Lou 
Anderson; one brother, Frank Kay Parrott; and two sisters, Janet Moriarty and 
Georgeanne Parrott.
Bud was a 1937 graduate of Christiansburg-Jackson High School, and he retired 
in 1982 from Hobart Brothers, Troy. He was a member of the Grafton United 
Methodist Church and Harmony Lodge 0008 Free and Accepted Masons of Urbana.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday in Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 
216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, with the Rev. Doug Flinn of the Grafton 
United Methodist Church, St. Paris, presiding. Visitation will be held in the 
funeral home from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at noon. Burial 
will be in Terre Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute
