Funeral Home
PATTEN, Joyce Alexander 80, of Beaufort, South Carolina, a former resident of 
Springfield, died Sunday June 26, 2005 in Beaufort Memorial Hospital, 
Beaufort, South Carolina. She was born on July 9, 1924 in Springfield, Ohio, 
the daughter of Lee Sylvester and Lola (Baker) Alexander. Mrs. Patten was a 
bank teller, member of the Professional Business Women's Association and an 
avid bowler. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon A. (Emory) Miller of St. 
Helena, South Carolina; brother, Vernon Lee Alexander of Springfield; three 
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 
parents and husband, Harold "Bud" Irvin Patten. A gathering of family and 
friends will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL 
HOME, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday July 1, 2005, with 
Rev. Bill Turner, officiating. Burial will be in Terre Haute Cemetery
