Mr Pauly was an assistant scoutmaster at St.Paris and had received the Silver Beaver award. He was a Sea Scout. A member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Paris, Mr. Pauly served at the altar for 20 years. Born in Springfield Aug. 16, 1903, he was a son of Jacob M and Catherine Groeber Pauly. He was married to Norma McBeth in 1935. She survives Other survivors include a son, William Pauly of Urbana, two grandchildren;one brother Herbert Pauly of Springfield; and three sisters Mrs Harry Wilke(Marie of Norwood, Mrs Joseph Schmitt(hilda) and Mrs Frank Grieb(Frances), both of Springfield. Services will be conducted at 10 am Monday in the Sacred Heart Church by Reb Fr. Clarence Diegelman.
