Elizabeth Ruth Pence, 89, of Urbana, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009, at 
Forrest Glen Health Campus in Springfield.
She was born in Urbana on June 23, 1919, a daughter of the late Grant and 
Bessie Bowers Pence. She also was preceded in death by brothers, Starling F. 
and Marvin G. Pence; and a sister, Geneva Grimes. 
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 
She had a great passion for her dogs, gardening, and planting flowers on the 
farm, and enjoyed sewing, quilting and talking with others. 
A private graveside service takes place at the convenience of the family.
