The Urbana Daily Citizen-abstract
Mildred Louise Howard Pence, 93, of 125 E. Ward Street, Urbana, died Sunday 
October 12, 2008, at Eaglewood Care Center, Springfield. Mildred was born to 
Ralph and Naomi Grace (Wilson) Howard on August 8, 1915 in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Mildred graduated from St. Paris High School in 1934. She married Robert Paul 
Pence on July 31, 1938. They were Blessed to share and enjoy 45 years 
together. He preceded her in death on September 15, 1983.

In addition to being a homemaker, she was always involved with and supportive 
of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all of their 
activities. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Urbana for over 65 
years. The time she spent with her church family was very special to her.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mildred was preceded in death by two 
sisters, Sarah May Wiseman and Wanda McDonald, and a brother-in-law Robert 
Wiseman.

Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery.
