St. Paris-Walter(Sparky) Pence, 71, of 274 W Elm, died at his residence at 
6:30am Tuesday. he had been ill one year.
Born in Champaign County in December,1904, he was a son of the late Charles 
and Rebecca Snapp Pence.  He lived in the county his entire life, and was a 
retired farmer.
Surviving him are his wife, the former Sally Crouse Taylor whom he married in 
1954; a daughter Dee Ann Baker, St. Paris, two grandchildren, and his mother, 
who resides in St. Paris.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 pm in the Baker Funeral Home with the 
Rev Charles Babcok officiating.  Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.
