Ronald N. PERSINGER, 81, of 7133 Runkle Road, Saint Paris, Ohio, died Sunday, 
October 6, 1996 in Mercy Hospital, Urbana, Ohio, at 2:52 p.m. He was born on 
December 14, 1914, in Champaign County, the son of Raymond and Florence 
(NEESE) PERSINGER. He was a 1933 graduate of Rosewood High School and was a 
self-employed electrician and farmer. He was a member of the Terre Haute 
United Methodist Church, Terre Haute, Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Lucy 
(BATES) PERSINGER, whom he married on Nov. 9, 1935; two daughters, Thelma Jean 
ANDERSON of Springfield, Lucy Isabelle BISHOP of Urbana, Ohio; two sons and 
daughters-in-law, Ronald and Nancy PERSINGER of Boulder, Colorado; Donald and 
Sally PERSINGER of Lancaster, Ohio; ten grandchildren; nine great-
grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Ruthand Louis FREESE of 
Springfield, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, Ned and Carole PERSINGER of 
Rosewood, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-
nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother and sister-in-
law, Robert and Gertrude PERSINGER. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 
Oct. 10, 1996 at 1:30 p.m. in the Terre Haute United Methodist Church, 5938 
route 55, Terre Haute, Ohio wit Rev. Paul R. Jones officiating. Burial will be 
in the Terre Haute Cemetery. Richeson Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home.
