Nina L. Pond, 77, of St. Paris, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 
2004, in her residence.
She was born Feb. 19, 1926, in Champaign County near Terre Haute, the daughter 
of the late Harry C. and Goldie E. (Lutz) Zerkle. She is survived by two sons 
and daughters in law, John and Beverly Barger of Pasco and Keith and Judy 
Barger of St. Paris; and two daughters and sons- in-law, Lisa and John Stewart 
of Troy and Cassie and John Spreher of St. Paris; six grandchildren and five 
great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ralph E. and Rita 
Zerkle of St. Paris and Ron Zerkle of Dayton. Nina was preceded in death by 
her parents, six brothers and two sisters.
Nina was a member of Jewel Temple 207 of St. Paris. She retired from 
Lewisystem of Urbana.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16 in the funeral home with 
the Rev. David Henry of Faith Fellowship, Urbana, presiding. Burial will be in 
Terre Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute
