The Urbana Daily Citizen-abstract
George F. Putman, age 81, of Urbana, died at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 
2007 in Heartland of Urbana. He was born in Rising Sun, Ohio, April 10, 1920, 
a son of Charles W. and Ivy (Henry) Putman.

George was a 1944 graduate of Rising Sun High School, attended Findley 
University, the owner of Putman Insurance Agency in Mansfield, Ohio, a member 
of Grace Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife Hattie "Peggy" (Ellis) Putman, two 
sisters Peg Phillips, Ruth Putman, a brother Charles Putman, and a stepson Ed 
New.

Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.
