Hattie Louise (Frasher) (Ellis) Putman, 72, of 427 Mosgrove St., Urbana, died 
Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at 9:23 a.m. in Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, 
Ohio. She was born Aug. 11, 1928, in Wayne County, W.Va., to Harry W. and 
Gladys (Frasher) Ellis. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, 
George Putman, of Urbana; children, Michael (Barbara) New, Virginia Kimbler, 
Betty Todd, all of Urbana, Ohio; stepchildren, Myra Kay and Tom Milligan, of 
Marion, Ohio, Scott and Anita Putman, Peggy Jane Nienkinchen, all of Delaware, 
Ohio; grandchildren, Sue, Deanna, Chad, Jimmy, Nicole, Chris, Travis, Tammy, 
Donnie, Sherry and Cindy; step-grandchildren, Kristen, Con, Benjamin, Andrew, 
Myra, Phillip, Bobby and Addie; and several great-grandchildren. She was 
preceded in death by her first husband, Calvin New; parents; son, Russell Edwin 
New; and one granddaughter, Kay. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. 
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2001, in 
the WALTER-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main St., Urbana, Ohio, where a 
funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2001, at 10:30 a.m., with 
Rev. Ray Kaffenbarger and Rev. Joe Fortna officiating. Burial in Concord 
Cemetery....
