REES, Leon V. 92, of Urbana, passed away, Monday, April 11, 2011 in the 
Sterling House of Urbana. He was born February 5, 1919 in Sidney, the son of 
Louis V. and Leonora (Chambers) Rees. Leon served his country in the United 
States Army during WWII. During his working career he was a master electrician 
and retired from Navistar. He was a member of Urbana United Methodist Church; 
order of Eastern star, Urbana Chapter #530 and the Harmony Lodge F. & A.M. # 
0008, Urbana, Ohio. Leon was a handyman, he could fix or build anything. He 
made several grandfather clocks and stain glass. He is survived by his 
daughters, Lola Diane (William) Coates of North Lewisburg and Judy Lynn (Carl) 
Hickey of Urbana, his son, Garald V. (Janet) Rees of Cable, 8 grandchildren, 7 
great grandchildren, his sister, Jean (Bob) Lotz of Sidney and several nieces 
& nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Lola 
(Litton) Rees. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on 
Friday, April 15, 2011 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services 
will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011 in the funeral home. 
Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Urbana.
