John Rice Jr., 81, of St. Paris, passed away at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 
2010, in the McAuley Center, Urbana.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in the Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, 121 S. Walnut St., St. Paris, with the Rev. Fr. Greg Konerman 
officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with military honors by 
the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday in the 
Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St, St. Paris, with memorial 
services at 7:45 p.m. by the New Carlisle Knights of Columbus
