The Piqua Daily Call abstract
Raymond Rhufus Richardson, age 76, of Piqua, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, May 
29, 2007 at 1:44 p.m. in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. 

He was born on August 27, 1930 in Clark County, Ohio, the son of the late Leo 
W. and Florence Melissa (Romans) Richardson, 

In addition to his parents, a brother, Leo W. Richardson, Jr., half brothers 
Wilbur Smith, John Ross, Joe Ross and a half sister, Marie Whitmore, preceded 
him in death. 

Ray was a member of VFW Post #4874 of Piqua. He served in the Army during the 
Korean War where he received a purple heart. He was a former employee of the 
city of Piqua. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2007 at noon in the Atkins-
Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, St. Paris, Ohio with Reverend 
Philip Schumm of the Lena Baptist Church presiding.

Burial will follow in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery near Christiansburg with 
military honors by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad of Piqua.
